housing were harder to find than imagined - many want tenents to stay longer than a semester, which made it a bit harder to find a nice place.

be patient and picky with appartments - many really bad rooms are for rent for international students.

I hate to say this, but the answer is..it depends. It depends very much on your future earning potential - (tuition fee + living cost) - opportunity cost.

Future earning potential: This is your post-MBA goals. You may estimate how much you would be earning after the MBA.

Tuition fee: A hefty sum of ~EUR65,000 (subtract your scholarship amount)

Living cost: Average living cost in London for ESADE MBA student is EUR1,500 to 2,100.

Opportunity cost: This is how much you would be earning over the two-year period if you don’t quit your job.

Another way to look at it is by calculating the 5-year gain

For most people, #theESADEMBA is worth it as they gain more in the long-term. It is up to you to get the most out of it.

ESADE believes a lot on the core values of the institution and lays strong focus on how the candidate fulfils these expectations and values during admission.

I wish I had known...
I think not knowing anybody was part of the thrill for me and made the actual experience much more rewarding once I'd made friends. For some this might be a worry, but then moving abroad is a challenging, daunting experience anyway.

Well positioned, good quality teaching, but more intensive study than I had been used to. EAE is one of the leading business schools in Spain and studying there was a great experience.

An excellent city, an excellent school, great nighlife, thousands of international students and a real community spirit. Easy to meet people and make friends. Some of my closest friends were met during my time in Barcelona and I'm sure that these will be friends for life. If that isn't enough, Catalunya has some great beaches and a nice climate all year.

I wished I had known more time in advance that I was going to Barcelona. Then I would have studied more Spanish in advance and my Spanish would have been even better.

ESADE is a well-organised university. It is small and if you are there only for a short period it is certainly an advantage, because you get to know lots of people.

Barcelona is a wonderfull city to live in. Life there is amazing and if you go there you should try every aspect of it. The cultural things, the nightlife, the streetlife, places in region like the Dali museum and Cadaques and so on.

Th BBA offers a good diversity of core + elective classes for the student's preferred field (marketing, finance, operations, HR, digital...). Classes are structured in lecture and practical sessions for absorbing knowledge and putting it into practice. Study is intensive, classes are three hours long, a day can have anywhere from 1 class to 3 classes (3, 6 or 9 hours of class). Language courses are not optional and the the selection is a bit limited.
Employers of BBA students commonly are renowned international firms. Future career outlook is very positive and career services and support are good.

That winter here is a lot colder than I thought and was a bit unprepared in terms of clothing!

In terms of academic advancement this university is a great one, but what I value more from this experience is the fact that I have got to know another culture and spent a fantastic few months in an amazing city.

If arriving in winter, I would suggest researching more into possible accomodation arrangements. I found it extremely difficult when I first got here as rooms in flats were relatively scarce. It probably would have helped if I had started my search a little earlier. Re: Travel - take advantage of every travel opportunity. Spain is a fantastic country with so much to be seen and learnt. In general: If anyone has the chance to come here - definately do it! I do not know of anyone who has had an unpleasant experience as an exchange student here.
