Barcelona is an odd place to learn to speak Spanish b/c Catalan is the primary language and the people are not that welcoming. However, I did learn a lot about the culture and improved my Spanish skilled through attending classes in Spanish and having Spanish-speaking roommmates.

Personal spending habits
Food and accomodation are cheaper in Spain than in Nottingham even in Barcelona. Telephone, we only received inbound calls. I spent more on nightlife because I went out almost every night and travel was obviously more expensive due to the number of flights back to the UK I took.

Course recommendations
ESADE was a good choice for me because it offers a large range of high quality marketing courses. I could deepen different aspects of this issue, when studying CRM, international marketing or even consumer behavior.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
i chosed an apartment because it is the best for me. i can use all the facilities in the apartment and its so easy for me.besides that, the landlady is also living in the apartment,so its easier if i have any problems or anything to ask about barcelona,i can always ask her about it.

from what i heard from the other exchange students who lived in the residencia sarria, they said that the price for a double bedroom is very high and the rooms are so small.so from my point of view, residencia sarria should lower down the rates of the rooms as we are all students and we can´t afford to pay so much.

I have learned a lot of spanish at my home university, but I feel that you really have to spend some time in a spanish environment to fully understand all the aspects of the language. So I feel that the exchange i BCN was a natural continuation of my earlier spanish studies.
