Personal spending habits
Compared to Vienna, the prices are generally higher, especially for food and housing. You can also spend your savings on the nightlife, if you want (a beer for 6-7 euros is normal), but in student bars you can save a lot. Mobile phoning was extremely cheap compared to Austria. Of course, I spent more on travelling - is is cheap to see all other scandinavian capitals with low cost airlines!

You should open a bank account in Denmark. Denmark is not part of the EURO-zone (Danish crown), and therefore you have to pay fees for withdrawing money with a banking card from a EURO-country.

I think its a really good university, and brings you the opportunity to get to know a lot of international and danish students. The courses are well organized and the teachers are rally good. I noticed a big difference from my home university, but I liked it. Moreover, the university provide many activities both for intrnational students and host students, a cool oportunity to get to know the country and other people! I really reccomend it.

The expences have to be take into account, about 700 US dollars monthly will give the opportunity to live, party and travel (once a month). The Danish are not to go to you, so if you want to meet them you have to come close to them and talk to them.

Within Europe, you have to travel Spain, To the fiords in Oslo Norway (be carefull that the prices in there are higher than in Denmark), October fest in Munick. There is good deals to rent cares for 72 hours, so if you are going to places close to Copenhagen (Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, etc) it is a good idea and will allow you to make shorter trips to places where you can reach by traveling on buses or train.

Academic
Course recommendations
Honestly, the classes weren't too organized. In the classes I took, they were filled with international students. That's fine because I met a lot of great people, but with only maybe 5 Danish students per class, it was hard to meet and interact with local students. But I guess that's what the Uni bars are for!

No - I thought it was a nice change to come to an academic environment where I only had to take one final exam at the end of each course. It definitely left me a lot of time to enjoy Copenhagen and travel and explore Denmark.

I was accomodated in student house; everyone had his ownroom but kitchen, bathrooms and lounge were common. In the summer time it was quite empty but it was very nice to eat and have relax with other students in the lounge. We had some parties in our place with students coming from other accomodation. The place was really nice and it was perfect for social life but we were just twenty in a three floor house with fifty rooms and it was not so close to the campus and the centre of the town.
