rasta cafe... you have to ask all tuk-tuk drivers you see and maybe someone knows were it is - that's the way we've always done it. great place with great music, a fireside and very nice decoration... romantic!

Course recommendations
as this was a summer university which is rather short, there already was a fixed schedule for us, so we had no choice. anyway, the courses were ok.

thais do speak a good deal of english - especially the students. nevertheless it is difficult for us to understand them because they have a completely different accent. appart from the students you hardly find anyone who speaks proper english, so use your arms and legs!

Final comments
the only travel tip is: do it! travel through thailand, go by train, because you see the country and it's really cheap to do that. thais are generally rather shy, but try to get in touch with them, they are soooo nice once the ice is broken...

the only expensive thing is when you want to eat "western" style... thai food is cheap, fast food is expensive.
