France is pretty expensive even if you come from Sweden. My housing made it pretty expensive for me because I didn't have the opportunity to cook my own food therefore I had most of my meals at restaurants and etc.

You are entitled to government help for your housing. You must open a bank account to get this benefit. Don't worry about textbooks because they don't use textbooks and usually there are handouts.

Housing
Type of housing: University campus far from ESC
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
ESC is downtown so living on the campus was a big mistake, PS it is difficult to find a furnitured flat

University campus must not be taken as ESC campus, ESC has no campus and is located (downtown) far from the university.... anyway incase you are considering the uni-campus take notes: you live in 8 sqare meters, share bathroom and showers with 24 other students, the kitchen is a DISASTER actually there is two cooking plates and that is all, no oven, fridge, or anything else. you keep your stuff in your room, no friends are aloud after 2200, you have a guard walking the stairs to see that people are quiet... basically it is a prison so don't have big hopes, but it is fairly cheap

Food was really a lot more expensive and the rent was very expensive compared to what I pay at home. Then with the higher costs you add the exchange rate and it was just ridiculous for the living expensese, but it was worth it

Well if you are a retard like me you travel to France without speaking a word of french. I thought that people exaggerated when they said that the french don't/refuse to speak english, but I was wrong. You should try to learn at least some basics in french before you go there otherwise you will have some very difficult time over there. But at the school you will find no problems at all.
