Athens is a crowded city, so you have street noise everywhere. Nevertheless, this is definitely not a reason not to come here!

there are clean and less clean appartments. you have to be a little lucky when you get assigned to a flat. most of the flats are close to the university. the price is a little bit on the high side for what you get

sharing an apartment is the best way to meet other people. i would try to find cheaper accomodation in a different area, though.
