Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB)

Aueb is supposed to be the best University in Greece for Economic studies. It really has very good teachers and the courses are really decent. Unfortunatelly it is located in an area with bad fame ,  and there are not  many and good facilities.

I found the path i need it to follow in order to answer all the questions that were troubling me about the world and how would i fit in it. Despite what many believes, a university degree does not make you smarter or more sophisticated, the university only shows you the way, but you are the one who have to walk it. It is a long, challenging but also incredibly fascinating road. The difficult is  the beginning but once you've started, everything comes naturally.

I was in the business administration field specializing in accounting and finance. Some of the lessons were extremely interesting, as they challenged us to put extra effort. Personally enjoyed most the financing lessons and the supply chain ones that I choose.

All members of the academic staff were highly qualified, and about 3/4 of the Professors did a good job out of transmitting their knowledge to us. However, this is an academia-oriented Department, with little connection to the business World.

Very well organised and intentional curricculum, including courses of international, modern interest. The teaching stuff is excellent and is helping to connect the university with the market and other universities around the world.

Overall the experience of studying is positive. The majority of the courses are well put together creating different paths for students of different interests. The teachers are qualified and the content of the academic textbooks is of high level.
