It was a good experience. I made good memories. Even though it's international university, It's better for Thais. As an international student, you feel left out most of the times. Some professors are good but not all of them are qualified!

**Translation to English:** Crd to owner

**Traffic Accident at Assumption University of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Campus (November 18, 2024)**
*(Detailed Account)*

---

**The Accident**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
Around noon on November 18, my brother and a 17-year-old cousin were riding a motorcycle to the university when a car driver (approximately 40 years old) violated traffic rules by making an illegal U-turn over a solid line. The motorcycle, unable to brake in time, collided with the car. The university’s CCTV system was non-functional, and the car’s "black box" data was unavailable.

---

**Aftermath of the Accident**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
The university’s standby ambulance had a flat tire, delaying medical response. My brother, bleeding severely from a head injury, lay on the scorching asphalt for nearly an hour before another ambulance arrived. Despite warnings not to move him, friends had to lift him onto the ambulance themselves. No university staff or security personnel assisted during this critical time.

---

**Hospital Struggles**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
He was taken to **Ruamchai Pracharug Hospital**, affiliated with the university. However, the hospital demanded his **passport** for treatment, which was not immediately available. This caused further delays. My brother underwent major brain surgery and minor facial surgery. By the time surgeons operated, his survival chances were deemed 10%. The hospital also required a **THB 200,000 deposit** for surgery, which was crowdfunded by friends. The university provided no support during this period.

---

**November 19: University’s Neglect**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
Two staff members from the university’s **VME (Student Affairs)** visited, offering only apologies. The car driver also apologized but took no responsibility.

---

**November 20: Tragic Loss**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
My brother passed away. My mother (in her 50s) and I (19 years old) were left devastated. The 17-year-old cousin survived but was traumatized. Police arrived but showed indifference, stating, “You know what I’m saying,” implying bureaucratic inertia.

---

**Legal and Bureaucratic Hurdles**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
- The hospital demanded **THB 200,000** to release his body, forcing us to pay out-of-pocket.
- University staff offered **THB 20,000** as “funeral support” but pressured us to avoid legal action.
- A **BBA department staff member** insensitively remarked, *“If you don’t want to return to your country, respect ours,”* during discussions.
- University representatives laughed and chatted casually at the police station, showing no empathy.

---

**November 21-22: Funeral Challenges**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
- The university’s promised funeral hall had **no flowers or water**. We arranged monks and supplies ourselves.
- A VME assistant arrived unprepared, scrolling on his phone during the service.
- Staff harassed Myanmar faculty members who supported us, even threatening one with *“I’ll slash you with a knife.”*

---

**Ongoing Legal Action**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
We are pursuing a lawsuit against the driver and the university for negligence. Despite pressure, we refused settlements to ensure accountability. The university’s insurance has yet to cover expenses.

---

**Final Message**
♦️♦️♦️♦️
This account aims to warn parents and students about **Assumption University’s poor crisis management and lack of empathy**. Myanmar faculty and students rallied to help, but the institution failed utterly. We seek justice and hope no one else endures such trauma.

When you ask anyone about ABAC/AU, they'll say it's a beautiful school with rich students. What they won't tell you is the staff are assholes and could give less shit about you. The courses are easy, teachers are either really good or bad. ABAC students are arrogant, not all, but most of the girls are. They think they're queens, when in reality, they're weak inside and need someone to care for them. Nightlife? You wish. Also, it's hot. If you're an international student, don't expect to be allowed in any non-international clubs. The system does its best to take your money. If you don't like a teacher and wants to change section, 50% will be refunded. They will charge you for every little thing.

Honestly, it's simply shit. Most of the teachers and staffs treat you like a piece of trash. Unless you suck up to them, like literally, you're doom to fail. One teacher that I had experience with - as with every other one of my seniors who took her class, you won't get a full A no matter how hard you work if you don't have blonde hair, blue eyes and a dick. Another female teacher also thinks she's so high and mighty. She literally made a female student stood in front of the entire class and scolded her for missing a few classes. The kid pretty much told her that she was suffering from depression and told her that she did try contacting her...Like, bruh, she literally just missed 3 classes. Give her a break. The teacher made fun of her so much I thought the girl was going to cry but she didn't. Then, another female teacher hit a student who fell asleep in her class on the head with her microphone. Not being sexist. I am also a female. I'm just seeing so many female teachers in ABAC not acting like one. The other staffs, both male and females, aren't that great either. Some are just simply rude and arrogant. Oh, the head of business administration also is a bitch. I once went into her office to try and get her signature for a document AFTER I've asked the front desk AND they had told me to just go in there and get the signature. So, I did just that. I walked to the door of her office which was wide open and gently knock on it. The woman looked up and annoyingly asked me what do I want. I said I was here to get her signature. She said, "Is there no front desk?" I told her, "Yes, they told me to come here." She replied, "Who do you think you are? Get out of my office." Like, bruh. Who tf do you think you are, a goddess of some sort? Anyways, there are lots of dramas. Let's just get it over with - Don't go to this university. There are other unis you can go to whose staffs would treat you better than this. The registrars at ABAC takes an eternity to get things done for you. Trust me...Don't waste your money and time here. Go elsewhere.

The one good thing about the university...nice building. That's it.

Not a great school

The staffs there are rude, arrogant and careless. They are so unprofessional and the online staffs are not helpful at all. The only great thing about the school are the buildings, anything other than that sucks. Some professors there don’t even really understand what they’re teaching, simply just reading off the slides. Not to mention how some professors wouldn’t show up to class without any notice beforehand. The whole school experience seems so unprofessional, unorganized and the staffs aren’t really working as a group. Moreover, all they care about is MONEY. Highly do not recommend this school, especially to foreign students. They don’t seem to have respect for the international students, more privilege goes to Thai students.

Recomendaciones de cursos
the courses are various, well composed with interesting names. Unfortunately, most of the teachers cannot teach. Some are fresh grads that dont have direct expreriences and real understanding of the subject matters. If you ever want to join ABAC, please do not consider Communication Arts (I was in Advertising).
