On the campus, there is only the SU café, but there are plenty of bars and nice places near Thamassat university (a good opportnuty to meet more Thai from different backgrounds). For night clubs, the best is to share taxis to Bangkok.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Pathumthani is pretty far from Bankok so I missed the city life after a while. If I had stayed a second semester, I had rather live in Bangkok for the second one.

Personal comments
The campus is really good value for money, especially as compared with European accomodation. Ir is preferable to choose a room with air con though, because it is hot there!

I wish I had known...
It is not so easy to make friends with Asian people on the campus. It requires time and a lot of perseverance.

Personal recommendation
Go if you want to travel and have fun but don't expect too much of the course, the level is not very high. Though, it is well known in Asia, so it can help you to find a job in the area.

Final comments
- Some course require more work than others: ask former student beore chosing. - The travel agencies on Kao san are the cheapest you can find but the busses are sometimes very rusty and smelly. - Best area for shopping is chattuchak market on the week-end. - Do not hesitate to ask other foreigners and locals if you need help or advice.

Personal comments
Because most of the students are from different countries, everything is in English at university. The most dificult is to get used to different accent (Thai, Indian, Chinese...) but it is quite funny. outside the campus, I was amazed to see how many people can speak basic English, or try to understand you through signs for example.
