AUP provides very good French language courses, but interaction with locals was what helped me the most in learning French.

Personal comments
AUP has a very international community (something like 1000 students, 100 nationalities). If you're studying there, you're studying in English so it's the default language on campus. If you want to learn French, you have to force yourself to hang out with the francophones on campus or go off campus to meet with locals.
