There is a Student Housing Foundation in Abo / Turku. I prefer the individual flat / bedsitter, but there is also an option for shared apartment, where you would have a bit more space and facilities, but less privacy

english language is really one of international communication, you don't need to learn the local language,in most situations you can cope with the help of English. i had no problems with language at all

I found finnish too difficult but I studied swedish that is the second language. No problem with comunication, almost all the people speak very good english, only the bus drivers aren't communicative

although swedish is an official langauge in finland do not expect Finns i the streets and shops to be too eager to speak it, but Finnish is a great langauge to learn although very hard
